​I spent two extremely lovely nights at the Disneyland Hotel in November and have been dying to go back ever since.  This hotel is as classy as they come with the perfect amount of Disney sparkle.  First, a couple of things to note about staying at ANY of the Disney Resort hotels in Hong Kong: all rooms come with special Priority Admission Passes for select attractions in the park along with a special entrance gate for hotel guests only.  This is a nice perk as Hong Kong Disneyland does not have a Magic Morning or Extra Magic Hours type access for hotel guests.  (I will say that lines in general seem to be rather short, so I didn’t even need to use my Priority Passes.) 

​The theme of the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is grand Victorian and is very reminiscent of the Grand Floridian in WDW or the Disneyland Hotel in Paris.  The lobby has beautiful floor to ceiling windows that overlook the rear garden maze and stunning chandeliers.  

The rooms have this same Victorian theming.  I stayed in a Sea View Room with a balcony and loved making use of that in the early morning.  Each room comes with a limited edition tin that you can take home with you along with seasonal slippers!  I love this touch and is one of the ways Hong Kong goes above and beyond some of the other Disney resort hotels in other places around the world.

​The hotel offers several in-resort dining options (of which I tried almost all).  In the morning you can choose between Walt’s Café and the Enchanted Garden Restaurant for breakfast.  Walt’s Café is a table service restaurant but you do not need to make advanced reservations.  It offers both a.l.a carte and buffet options.  The Enchanted Garden Restaurant is the hotel’s character breakfast buffet and is hands down THE BEST breakfast buffet I’ve ever had in all of my Disney character dining experiences. There are so many options for food ranging from traditional American breakfast dishes to traditional Asian breakfast dishes and the quality is all top notch.  I also loved that most of the characters came around to your table with a handler AND a Photo Pass cast member.  As a single traveler, I loved that there were 2 people there to help capture the moment. 

​The Crystal Lotus is the hotel’s fine dining option. I chose to do this for lunch as that is the only time you can order the Disney Dim Sum package (and let me tell you, you want to try this).  If you’re into dim sum or just want to try something new, Crystal Lotus does it right.  I particularly enjoyed the Mickey shaped seafood pancakes and the Three Little Pigs pork bun. (I also want to call out that this lunch set is only available on weekends.)  You can check out the full menu here. 

Last thing, I’ll mention about this hotel is the exterior.  The grounds are lovely and well-manicured.  The garden maze out back is fun to spend a few minutes enjoying and if you continue walking straight, you’ll be connected to the shoreline path with easy access to the other two Disney Resort hotels.

All in all, I was blown away with the value I received at this hotel.  It was much less expensive compared to its counterparts in other countries.  (My room came in just over $300 a night). I would definitely stay here again.
